A Closer Look at the Ingredients

Small swaps make a big difference. Here’s what to look for when you shop.

Cheese rennet

What to watch for: Velveeta may contain animal-derived rennet which could be non-halal.

The halal solution: Look for halal-certified processed cheese or those labeled with microbial/vegetable rennet.
