- 1 lb (500g) halal beef sirloin or tenderloin, sliced thinly
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup halal beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream (halal-certified)
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Sauté Vegetables
In the same skillet, add onions and garlic. Sauté until fragrant.
Add mushrooms and cook until softened.
Make the Sauce
Sprinkle flour over the vegetables and stir to coat evenly.
Gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
Stir in sour cream and Dijon mustard. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Combine and Serve
Return the beef to the skillet, simmering for 5 more minutes until tender.
Season with salt, pepper, and garnish with parsley.
Serve over rice, noodles, or mashed potatoes.
