Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup yogurt (halal-certified)
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

Make the Dough

  • In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
  • Add yogurt, warm water, and olive oil. Knead into a soft dough.
  • Cover and let it rest for 1-2 hours.

Prepare the Garlic Butter

  • Mix melted butter with minced garlic. Set aside.

Cook the Naan

  • Divide the dough into small balls and roll each into an oval shape.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place the naan on the skillet and cook until bubbles form. Flip and cook the other side.
  • Brush the naan with garlic butter and sprinkle with cilantro.
