Ingredients

  • 2 large ripe mangoes, peeled and diced (or 2 cups of frozen mango chunks)
  • 2 cups of plain halal yogurt
  • 1 cup of cold milk or water (adjust for desired consistency)
  • 3 tablespoons of organic sugar (or to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon of rose water (optional)
  • A pinch of ground cardamom (optional)
  • Ice cubes for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Mangoes:

  • If using fresh mangoes, peel and chop them into small pieces. For convenience, frozen mango chunks work equally well.

Blend the Ingredients:

  • Add mango pieces, yogurt, milk (or water), sugar, rose water, and cardamom to a blender. Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy.

Adjust the Consistency:

  • Taste the lassi and adjust the sweetness or thickness by adding more sugar or milk as needed. Blend again to combine.

Chill and Serve:

  • Pour the mango lassi into glasses over ice cubes for extra chill. Garnish with a pinch of cardamom or a small mango slice for presentation.

Optional Enhancements:

  • Add a dollop of whipped cream on top for a decadent touch or sprinkle chopped pistachios for a nutty flavor twist.
