Halal Moroccan Mint Tea

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon green tea leaves (halal-certified)
  • 1 large handful of fresh mint leaves
  • 3-4 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 4 cups boiling water

Instructions

Rinse the Tea Leaves

  • Place the green tea leaves in a teapot. Add a splash of boiling water, swish it around, and discard the water. This step cleanses the leaves.

Brew the Tea

  • Add the mint leaves and sugar to the teapot. Pour the boiling water over the leaves.
  • Let the tea steep for 3-5 minutes.

Mix and Serve

  • To mix the tea, pour it into a glass and then back into the teapot a few times.
  • Serve in small glasses, optionally pouring from a height to create a frothy layer.
