Halal Rose Sharbat

For the homemade rose syrup:
- One cup of organic or halal-certified sugar
- One cup of water
- One-half cup of dried edible rose petals or rose water (halal-certified)
- One teaspoon of fresh lemon juice
- Optional: A pinch of natural pink or red food coloring
For the sharbat:
- Two tablespoons of rose syrup (store-bought or homemade)
- One glass of chilled water, milk, or lemonade
- Ice cubes
- Optional: Chopped pistachios, almonds, or edible rose petals for garnish
Prepare the Rose Syrup:
Combine sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely.
Add rose petals or rose water to the syrup and simmer for five minutes.
Stir in lemon juice and optional natural food coloring. Remove from heat and let it cool. Strain the mixture to remove petals and store the syrup in a glass bottle.
Make the Sharbat:
In a glass, mix two tablespoons of rose syrup with chilled water, milk, or lemonade. Adjust the syrup amount to your sweetness preference.
Add ice cubes and stir well.
