For the Coffee Soak:
- 1 1/2 cups brewed espresso or strong coffee, cooled
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon sugar (optional)
For the Mascarpone Filling:
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
For the Layers:
- 24 halal-certified ladyfinger biscuits (savoiardi)
- Unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting
Brew the Coffee Soak
Brew strong coffee or espresso and let it cool to room temperature.
Stir in vanilla extract and sugar, if desired. Set aside.
Make the Mascarpone Filling
In a mixing bowl, beat heavy cream until soft peaks form. Set aside.
In another bowl, whisk mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture, ensuring it remains light and fluffy.
Assemble the Tiramisu
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee soak, ensuring they’re moist but not soggy.
Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of a 9×9-inch dish or individual serving glasses.
Spread half of the mascarpone filling evenly over the ladyfingers.
Repeat with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone filling.
Chill and Serve
Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
Before serving, dust the top generously with unsweetened cocoa powder.
